Inside the Youth Center, you’ll find a teen room, a gymnasium that hosts a variety of recreational programs, seven classrooms, an art room, a multi-purpose room, and a seating area.
The Before and After School Age Program provides care for military dependent children ages 5 through 12, from August to June. The Center’s sports program includes basketball and spring/fall soccer. Teen programs include community service opportunities, college prep, the YES Program, resume writing, Money Matters, and so much more!

School Age Program
Dover AFB School Age Care is accredited with a national agency, Council on Accreditation (COA). Accreditation with COA signifies that our program meets the high standards of quality set forth by this accrediting body. The program provides children ages 5-12 years a safe and supervised place for fun and development. We accomplish the mission with our dedicated trained professionals guided by our curriculum specialist, director, and school age coordinator. We ensure youth success and growth in a safe, happy, and caring environment.

Open Recreation
Open Recreation is an after school program. Youth that attend open recreation are expected to sign in and out on the attendance sheet each time they enter and leave the building. Open Recreation provides our youth a safe place to do homework, interact with their friends, and a place to just hang out and play.

Teen Program
Our teen program is an after school program for teens ages 13-18 years old. Teen Programs offer a wide variety of challenging, informational, and fun activities! Teen members have their own dedicated room that allows them to socialize with friends, do homework, and play video games. Teens that attend the program must sign in and out of the attendance sheet each time they enter and leave the building.

Youth Sponsorship helps youth new to Dover AFB become
Youth Sports
Youth Sports is designed to encourage children ages 5-12 years old to be physically active. Having your children enrolled in a sport activity is a great way for them to learn a healthy lifestyle, team building skills, and good social skills. Youth Sports offers training for children in the basic rules of playing sports like basketball and soccer. The sports program also gives free training for volunteer coaches. We are always looking for volunteer coaches to educate our youth on how to play the sport while having fun doing so.

Youth Sponsorship
Our Youth Sponsor program helps new youth become familiar with Dover AFB. A peer member is assigned to the new youth according to gender, age and interests. The youth sponsor will escort the newcomer around school, the youth center, introduce the newcomer to other peers, and various activities on base.
